Designer Playground Coming to Grand Park

Meet Los Angeles' newest playground in Downtown's Grand Park. The $1,000,000 space was designed by Rios Clementi Hale Studios and offers a 20-foot-tall "tree fort" with one standard slide and one ten-foot-long tunnel slide, climbing ropes, and a cartoony, "undulating landscape". The playground's grand opening will be this Saturday at 2pm.

Winners of AIANY 2014 Design Awards Announced

The American Institute of Architects’ New York Chapter announced the winners of its 2014 Design Awards this month. Of the 400 submission, only 35 projects were chosen on the merit of their “design quality, response to context and community, program resolution, innovation, thoughtfulness, and technique.” Here's a look at some of the winners.
