Last week saw the tragic early passing of Alex Calderwood, the co-founder and creative force behind the Ace Hotel chain. Here we take a look the Portland Ace. Built in 2007 under the direction of Calderwood, the Portland Ace blazed new paths in hospitality design and still serves as the company's headquarters.
