Heath Ceramics

Recently we shared Jonathan Adler’s Shelter Island home which had some amazing floor-to-ceiling tiled walls.  One look at those tiles and Edith Heath, founder of Heath Ceramics, immediately sprang to mind.  While Heath ceramics may be best known for its mid-century modern ceramic tableware, their architectural tiles are quite stunning.  Locally, one of the best representations of Heath's architectural exterior tiles can be found surrounding the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, the project for which Edith Heath became the first non-architect to win the prestigious AIA Industrial Arts Medal.

The simplicity of Heath Ceramics and crisp modular shapes have helped to keep their designs relevant for over 60 years.  But it’s their glazes, textures, and depth of color, that no other pottery studio can match.

Visit the Heath Ceramics store in person to see their tableware and tile showroom, or ONLINE.
