Richard Neutra designed this post + beam residence for his client, Linn, in 1961. The site, above Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood Hills, overlooks the eastern San Fernando Valley. The house is on axis with the hillside's contours giving its north-facing facade direct views of the Valley, Universal City and the distant San Gabriels. Neutra lifts the main level above the site and over the carport and a separate guest quarters to further enhance the views.
This second level consists of a living area divided by a hearth, new and restored kitchen, en suite master with bath, guest bath and two bedrooms separated by a collapsible wall.
The grounds include terraces, decks, private pool and gated drive. All impeccably restored. $12,500/month. No pets, please.
